WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

A headshot session costs £220 and I offer a student rate of £190.

Sessions typically last 2 hours and the fee includes three retouched photos.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

The session will take my place in my home which is just off Peckham Rye, close to East Dulwich in south-east London.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SESSION?

Typically, we will have a cuppa and a chat about you and what you want from the session. We will also go through your clothes and select some looks for the day.

Photos can be done both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). I tend to shoot mainly indoors however if you want that outdoor vibe then we can move into the garden.

FAQ

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

The most important thing about your headshot is YOU! Which means that clothes shouldn’t be a distraction. Avoid very loud patterns and logos. Have a think about neckline and layers as well as complementary colours.

WHAT ABOUT MY HAIR AND MAKEUP?

This is very much down to your own personal taste. Personally, I would say less is more when it comes to make up. I use natural light which is very flattering. Sometimes heavy makeup can make it look like you are trying to conceal rather than enhance. Again with hair, there is no hard and fast rule but we do want to see as much of your lovely face as possible.

At the end of the day, whatever makes you feel the most confident and at ease our best option. If you want to bring a MUA that is absolutely not a problem, do let me know in advance.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. Our editing process typically a few days, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. I prioritise quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.

I HATE HAVING MY PHOTO TAKEN.

Me too. I look like a potato that has been cursed by a witch to be swallowed by its own chins.

We are all hypercritical of ourselves and I understand that as much as anyone. That is why I strive to create a relaxed as well as creative environment where you can be your best self.

MY SESSION IS IN A WEEK, WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE?

If you want to get a haircut, now is the time to do it. If you get a haircut too close to the day, it can have a choppy look. Also, just keep an eye on your diet. The healthier you eat, the healthier your skin will be on the day. Science!

HELP, I HAVE A SPOT!

Don’t panic. The wonders of modern technology mean we can zap it away in post-production. I do minimal photoshop, but I will remove anything temporary like a spot or a blemish.

IS THERE A CAT?

There sometimes is a cat.

OH NO, I HATE CATS...

That’s ok, I can put him out. You will have made an enemy for life, but on the plus side he sleeps for about 18 hours a day and spends the remaining hours maintaining a pristine bumhole, so vengeance will not be swift.
